DAVID CHANG is the chef and founder of Momofuku, which includes restaurants in New York City, Sydney, Toronto, Las Vegas, and Los Angeles, a casual chicken concept (Fuku), and a bakery (Milk Bar) established by award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi with multiple locations.
Since opening Noodle Bar in 2004, David has been honored with five James Beard Foundation Awards (Rising Star Chef of the Year, Best Chef New York City, Best New Restaurant, Outstanding Chef, and Who’s Who of Food and Beverage). Momofuku Ko has two Michelin stars which it has retained since 2009, and the restaurant is featured on the S. Pellegrino World’s Best Restaurants list.
David has been featured on the covers of Forbes Life and New York Magazine and recognized as one of the Time 100, Fortune’s 40 Under 40, Fast Company’s 1000 Most Creative People in Business, and Esquire’s Most Influential People of the 21st Century. He was also named a GQ Man of the Year. Chang is the host of Ugly Delicious and Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner, as well as The Dave Chang Show.
Starting his career in the software/technology industry at PeopleSoft (later acquired by Oracle) Christopher held various positions in both the sales and consulting groups, leading several worldwide implementation projects specializing in student administration, and supply chain management. Transitioning his career toward entertainment, Christopher was one of the founders of Endgame Entertainment, producing and financing a variety of film, television, and stage projects. He shepherded The Year Of The Yao, examining the journey of Yao Ming from China to the United States, as well as Every Little Step, which explored the multiple Tony-award winning Broadway show, A Chorus Line, and was shortlisted for the 2010 Oscar for Best Documentary Feature. Christopher also successfully negotiated a China co-production deal for Looper starring Bruce Willis and Joseph Gordon Levitt, which opened the 2012 Toronto International Film Festival. Chen is a proud co-founder of Majordomo Media, producing both Ugly Delicious and Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner for Netflix, as well as The Dave Chang Show for The Ringer Podcast Network.
Dave O’Connor is an award-winning New York-based producer, showrunner, and writer of television, film, and digital media. Dave began his career at ESPN, working for the ESPN Original Entertainment division as a producer on series like World Series of Poker, World Series of Darts, The ESPY Awards, and City Slam. He left ESPN to become Vice President and Co-executive Producer at Embassy Row, where he developed and produced nonfiction content in documentary, game show, and entertainment formats. His most notable Embassy Row productions include the critically acclaimed documentary The Tillman Story and the groundbreaking The Official 2010 FIFA World Cup Film in 3D. In 2011, Dave joined RadicalMedia where he produced award-winning branded content and original entertainment including Mars, Whitey: United States of America v. James J. Bulger, and Abstract: The Art of Design, recipient of the 2019 IDA for best episodic series. In 2018, Dave became the Co-Founder and CEO of Majordomo Media. Dave holds a MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business and his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Delaware. He lives in Brooklyn with his daughter Ava and his son Otis and loves games in all forms, woodworking, surfing, and being a dad.
After working in professional kitchens throughout his college years in Berkeley, Chris Ying left restaurants for a career in publishing. He worked as an editor, designer, and eventually publisher of McSweeney’s Publishing in San Francisco, where he wrote, edited, and designed books of oral history, fiction, poetry, and non-fiction. In 2011, he returned to the food fold when he co-founded the magazine Lucky Peach, serving as editor-in-chief for the first twenty issues. Ying has edited and co-written numerous books, including Voices from the Storm, Ivan Ramen, The Mission Chinese Food Cookbook, The Gaijin Cookbook, and You and I Eat the Same. He is also the co-founder of the nonprofit, ZeroFoodprint, which is dedicated to helping restaurants and chefs fight climate change. Ying is a co-founder of Majordomo Media, the company’s head of creative, and a producer of Ugly Delicious and Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. He also produces and frequently co-hosts The Dave Chang Show. Ying lives in San Francisco with his wife Jami, his daughter Ruby, and son Keith.
